60 Seconds in Online Activity

In the last 60 seconds, I have opened ImmerseEdit CMS, taken a sip of water, deleted an email, pressed play on iTunes, and began typing this blog. But that's just little ol' me... I'm just one person out of the millions using the internet. And in 60 seconds, everyone using the internet is doing a lot of things. We're a busy little bunch of people.

This week, Business Insider released some great images showing all the things that happen on the internet every 60 seconds. These easy to understand, colorful illustrations are quite fascinating!

And here's another one showing even MORE:

695,000 status updates on Facebook. 950 purchases on eBay, with 180 of those purchases being made using a mobile device. 100 new LinkedIn accounts. 98,000 tweets. $219,000 payments thru PayPal, (with $10,000 paid via a Smartphone.)

New Media is here, traditional media has subsided. We are digital. With every minute that ticks by, we are becoming MORE digital. Our Smartphones are being used as computers and our computers are being used as phones.

Like I said, we're quite busy with our online activity!
